Mobile Veterinary Services Launched

The Mobile Veterinary service unit has been launched here at Sagroli as a part of welfare of farming community co-financed by Clearing Corporation of India.  Comprising one veterinary doctor and four supervisors  the unit will keep on visiting near by twenty eight villages.  Their motives are to educate cattle owners to adopt the scientific livestock management practices, follow regular  vaccination and deworming and dispense de-wormers and other medicines to live-stock owners.  They have also plans to conduct demonstrations and arrange camps.   At the flag-off ceremony project directors of SSM and Shri Suresh Kulkarni of KVK were present.  Farmers lauded the efforts of KVK.

One Day training on House Cleaning and Hospitality

One day training on House cleaning and hospitality for hostel staff of SSM has been arranged here at KVK Sagroli.  Shri Vinod Waghmare of Winsons House Cleaning Services (Nanded) had been here as a resource.  Through demonstrations he told them about operating  and maintenance of cleaning equipment like vaccum cleaner, pressure machines and scrubber machine.  He also guided them on metal, glass, wall, floor and wood cleaning. Practical of scrubbing, polishing, wiping, washing, sweeping, brushing and stain removing were also conducted.  At last the briefed them about safe utilization of chemicals and sanitizers.  Nearly 35 staffers attended the training.

‘Desilting Lakes-Silting Farms’- A success mantra to fight drought

Under the State Government sponsored scheme, SSM during last summer desilted twenty-nine lakes and carried out nearly three lakhs twenty thousand cubic meter silt to near by farms making it more fertile and productive.  About 54 farmers had benefits of scheme.

        Local MLA Shri Subhash Sabane and Shri Rajesh Dhurve of NABARD expressed feeling of satisfaction over the success of the scheme.  They had been here for attending a celebration of ‘Jal Pujan’ of Sagroli Lake.

Training on Safe Handling of Pesticides


Ignorance about pesticide handling may cause a major damage.  Sensing seriousness of the grave issue, KVK Sagroli held a three day training programme on safe handling of pesticides and its utilization here at Sagroli between 7th June to 9th June.  It is an attempt to create an awareness about pesticides among farmers and laborers.  Large number of farmers and laborers attended the training programme.

Students Excel in Board Examination

Students of SSM schools came up with flying colors in Board Exams conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education,Pune.  Sainiki Vidyalay stood at first position scoring 100% result. Master Ashish Patil and Master Krantiveer Chandrabhan secured 96% where as Master Saurabh Khandagale of Shivaji Highschool obtained 95.8% in SSC Board Exams.  Shivaji Highschool has 96% passing score.
        In HSC Board Exams, 78.37% students of Vocational Stream cleared Board Examination.  Science Stream and Arts Stream has 97% and 73% passing results respectively.  Kumari Shambhavi Maharaj passed HSC Board Exam with 86.92% and Master Saurav Baise scored 76.6% in Science Stream.
